if we are going after a bat..

I truly believe david dejesus is the answer, some might agree or disagree but, the guy is a very solid player and would give us some good at bats everynight, what do you all think?

Only if Dusty would bat him 2nd or leadoff. Otherwise, it makes no sense.

The guy has a decent OBP and hits well. Would make a good 1-2 tandem with BP.

    Would love DeJesus or Wigginton.

I'm starting to come around on this idea. This team sure could use a guy who gets on base AND makes contact.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Dejesus would be such a great addition to this lineup, but wouldnt we almost have to unload either Gomes or Bruce to make it work? I would want Dejesus starting every game and leading off, but I don't think that Walt would want to ship off Gomes for fear of altering team chemistry and we would be selling low on Bruce.

There seems to be too much of a dropoff between Stubbs' and Dejesus' defense to consider him in center, but maybe I'm wrong about that.
