Lou Pinella Retiring at the end of the season

I hope Lou get's the ovation he deserves in his last game at Great American Ballpark. I hate that he went to the Cubs. He should have stayed in Seattle and built a dynasty. The Tampa experiment went bad too. He will always be a Red in my book.. Good luck Lou.

    A) Sadly the game has passed Lou by.
    B) Baring a total collapse we are stuck with Dusty for at least another 2-3 years

Sheww if Dusty gets fired while the team is performing well, there would be speculation about race being a factor - kinda like Ty Willingham at Notre Dame, only worse.

If Dusty takes us to the playoffs i'd say sign him up for a couple of more years. no other manager has gotten us that far since Davey Johnson..

I don't know...having the Best hitting team in the NL is the main reason for the success, IMO.

Can't say that I'm all that surprised by Lou's plans to retire. Just doesn't seem to be all that interested anymore. I will expect to see him with ESPN next year.

Easily, my favorite Manager of All-Time.

It's been a pleasure to share my lifetime with him around so much.

He's given me so much more pleasure in this life than most people.

Good player. Great manager, great character. The game will miss him. Good luck Lou. Thanks for 1990.

Joe Torre said he will make a decision at the end of the month. Isn't he from the Cinci area?
