    Re: 7/20/10 Reds Vs Nats

Atilano has not pitched well recently, taking losses in his past two starts. The right-hander allowed four runs on eight hits in 5 1/3 innings against the Padres on July 8. In his last three starts, he is 0-2, with a 6.19 ERA in 16.0 IP, and 9 Ks.

Atilano and Leake faced off on June 5, a 5-1 Reds win in D.C. Atilano's line: 7 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 6 Ks. An interesting note about that game is that Leake was the only Reds player to get multiple hits off of Atilano.

Why isn't Hanigan playing all the time? I don't get it. He's better offensively and defensively than Miller, and it's not even that close.

Catchers need off days and Dusty would probably rather have Hannigan take his hacks against Stasburg.

LMAO at this lineup. Leake has to be pissed. He gets screwed on lineups every single time he pitches. I used to think it was just on weekends, but its every time..cmon Dusty~

BA vs. RHP/Home games/at current spot in order
    Cabrera: .217/.280/.236
    Janish: .250/.292/.333
    Votto: .338/.301/.307
    Gomes: .291/.327/.302
    Bruce: .267/.247/.262
    Cairo: .305/.313/.500
    Stubbs: .248/.273/.299
    Miller: .289/.294/.250
    Leake: .391/.294/.389

If you look at their averages based on their spot in the lineup tonight, it doesn't look all that bad.... perhaps this was Baker's rationalization

It does seem like Leake gets a lot of these off day line ups.

wow, 7 pages for 1 line up card, and I'll admit I did not read it all.

But I will say I am excited for the shake up, it just 1 out of 162, plus we are playing a horrible Nationals team with our (or one of) best pitcher on the mound. Phillips is like 13 of 62 (something like that) maybe the guy needs a mentality break, Dusty knows why.

Edit: Phillips has 13 hits in his last 68 at bats. Phillips has been sick with the glove, but is really not needed when you have Janish out there that will make the plays as well.
    my thoughts on the issue.

terrible lineup but Phillips has been struggling and probly needed a day off to re-ajust himself

Catchers don't need every other day off. He didn't start on Sunday and only batted for Miller in the 9th. Hanigan should be in the lineup, especially with Phillips out.
