Yorman Rodriguez left the game early, I was not listening earlier. Anyone catch why he is no longer playing?

Donnie Joseph turned into a pumpkin tonight. Took a 5-3 lead into the 9th. Walked the first three, with two wild pitches for good measure. Ruben Medina did the rest. Frederick scored 7 and won 10-7.

Clayton Shunick had his third straight excellent start for Billings: 6 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 3 K. He has become quite the pleasant surprise. Mustangs lead 7-1 in the seventh.

The redoubtable Jonathan Correa is the mystery starter tonight for the AZL Reds. Through three, he's given up just a walk, with 4 K. The Goodyears lead 3-0.

    Correa's final line: 5 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 1 BB. 8 K. Gotta be intrigued by the young fella (19). ERA: 2.22.

Obviously, it's too early to say, but it looks like the next wave of starting pitching prospects might shape up on the order of Jacob Johnson, Tyler Cline, Daniel Tuttle, Ismael Guillon, Correa, Mitchell Clarke, Daniel Corcino . . . (I'm not counting the VSL and DSL types.)

    Correa finished for the night.

I spent too much time lining things up. I need practice. =)

Billings wins 7-1. Shunick was followed, strongly, by Josh Smith and Porfirio Martinez. Oliver Santos had 3 hits, and 2 each for Billy Hamilton, Devin Lohman (I keep wanting to call him Willie) and Chris Berset, who, according to the mug on minorleaguebaseball.com, looks a lot like Ryan Hanigan. Or Kevin Bacon. Or neither.

Holy smokes. Jaren Matthews, a first baseman for the AZL Reds, had two home runs in their last game, Monday night. He has two more tonight.

What everybody wants--a scoreless inning from Lucas O'Rear. The Goodyears win, 7-4, which means that the Reds' rookie teams were 4-0 on this date . . . Well, it's something.

It's pretty easy using Firefox. Internet Explorer is much harder.
