Cueto's last few innings have been pretty easy so I imagine Dusty will send him out there with a very short leash in case he gets into trouble. He could have a seven pitch inning and be done with it. Isn't the bottom of the Astros order coming up?
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Yes it is so hopefully he can get through this without too many pitches

That would be disappointing. Cueto burned out last year and here you have a chance to let him go clean with a 6 run lead at 100 pitches. No need to push him here. Why create an opportunity for him to struggle? More to lose than to gain in my book.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Bullpen could use a rest as well.

3 hitter thru 7, bottom of the lineup. I understand it. Not thrilled, but not overly concerned.

    I guess we'll see. Here's to a 1-2-3, 8 pitch 8th!

2 pitches, 1 hit. We'll see just how long that leash is. Double play time Johnny!

Crap. Looked like a possible DP and Cabrera drops the ball at 2nd. 1st and 2nd.

Joy -- way to go OCab. You have to get 1 first.

Reds Fanatic, I can take PBP now if you need a break, or not if you wanna keep going.
