Somebody should run around the clubhouse and spray the flu virus on all our pitchers' lockers. :O)

How many pitches has Cabrera seen tonight? 5?
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

I'm sure he's watched some of the pitches to the other batters.

Ha. It's definitely worked for him tonight, but he's 6th lowest in MLB this year at a paltry 3.28.

I guess when you are in the zone you don't need to see much.

5th multihit game since the break, 6th in his last 10 games.

Yep. His season has been a masters course in BABIP variation.

Nice backhanded scoop by Votto to complete the double play. He's made some really nice plays out there.

He's not going to complete it. With a 6 run lead, no reason to play with fire and ask him fo more. I'm bringing in Jordan Smith and asking him for two.

If Dusty brings him back out for the 8th, that would be very reminiscent of his Cubs days...
