It was pretty bad approaches. Gomes had 3 hits, Hanigan drove in the 2 runs and outside that no one did much of anything tonight.

Nice game for the top of the lineup: Cabrera, Phillips and Votto a combined 0-10

Phillips is completely lost right now. Currently in a 3 for 33 slump.

Of course it could be worse we could be the Royals currently losing 17-0 to the Twins in the 7th.

I think I'm going to go back to lurking for a while. Win or lose lately the game threads here really aren't much fun anymore. The guys are going to lose some games and they're also going to blow out some other teams in big wins. It's the nature of baseball. You win some, you lose some, and yes, the losing sucks but life still goes on and thankfully there's another game tomorrow. Have fun ranting tonight and I really hope it makes you all feel better.
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

He'll hit a solo HR the next time the Reds are up by 9 and all will be forgotten

Not to mention Rolen, Bruce, Hanigan, and Stubbs going 2-14. Sinply horrible.

Good thing Walt is burning the phone lines in search of relievers

Didn't get to watch the game but I see Arroyo took over the team lead in homers allowed.

Listened to the game tonight. Thought Arroyo pitched well enough to win.

Marty said the main problem with the offense is there's nothing for the opposing pitcher to worry about once he gets past Gomes in this lineup.

    I disagree. I don't think that's the main problem.

He's on the money with that one. Bruce and Stubbs can't hit with anyone on base. He probably should have excepted Hanigan though. Hanigan seems to be good with runners on. He should be moved up to 6th in the lineup and Bruce and Stubbs dropped a notch.
