Ryan LaMarre has the Dragons' lone base hit, which was a two-out single, but he was caught stealing. The game is scoreless in the fourth.

Homer starts the fourth by giving up a hit up the middle in a ten pitch at bat, then walks the next guy and gives up a double to right center that Stubbs would have caught. Someone warming in the Dragons pen...

As texasdave noted, Torreyes had another great game. Although he had a throwing error in the game, Andres Santoni hit a grad slam for the first homerun of his career. He is a corner infielder who has been one of the better hitters on the team. Here's the box score from the VSL Reds' win against the VSL Tigers.

Lynchburg is now up 6-0 following a homerun by Denis Phipps. Phipps has been on fire in Lynchburg. This is updated through his first two-at bats in the game.

Homer gives up another run in the fourth after a solid hit to left.

After three, the Hillcats lead 6-1. With one out, Avery gave up a walk, a stolen base, two singles, and then another walk before getting a double play to end the inning.

For playing the role of 'organizational filler', you'd expect Shane Carlson to be a little better on defense. As a Hillcat, he has eight errors in 16 games at third base and shortstop.

Bailey out after four innings. Three earned on four hits in four innings. BTW Dragons up against Shelby Miller tonight who is lights out. Hitting 96 with a good breaking ball.

DiDi Gregorius just made a great play at short.

The Carolina game is getting started at Montgomery. The Mudcats went down 1-2-3 in the first. Tom Cochran is toeing the rubber against Heath Collins. Here's the Mudcats' starting lineup:

    Negron SS
    Perez, F LF
    Terrero DH
    Mesoraco C
    Sappelt CF
    Costanzo 3B
    Henry RF
    Kahaulelio 2B
    Mendez, C 1B

Ricky Bowen is now pitching for the Dragons. He is one of the players to have been drafted by the same team twice, and he has been better than what you'd expect out of a 43rd round draft pick. Ryan LaMarre still has the Dragons' only hit through four innings.

Lynchburg just hit their fourth home run of the game, a solo shot by Shane Carlson. 7-1 Hillcats. The Keys pitcher, Nathan Moreau, had allowed just three homeruns through 79.1 IP this year, but he more than doubled that this game.

He's done catching for the year. He might pick it back up in the off-season, but he's going to put more focus on hitting for the rest of the season.

The Carolina Mudcats are down 1-0 but are in the middle of a rain delay. Mike Costanzo, who has the Mudcats' only hit, committed an error to allow a base runner who eventually scored on a double.

In case anyone's interested, Drew M. Anderson is playing second base for Montgomery. He's performing pretty much exactly as he did while a member of the Reds organization.
