I'm here, too. Though I do have to run up and down the stairs between the TV and the computer today.

    The strike zone is HUGE!

Yeah. But wasn't it dismissed due to $$$ concerns? I know when it actually happened it was a big shock to most on here. Some of that had to do with the players traded as well... Lol

Re: 7/28/10 vs. the Brew Crew

I was thinking about this on the way home from class today, think about how we acquired our lineup/rotation.

    Hernandez (Freel/Turner)
    Votto (homegrown)
    Phillips (PTBNL)
    OC (free agent)
    Rolen (Edwin/Stewart)
    Gomes (free agent)
    Stubbs (homegrown)
    Bruce (homegrown)

    Hanigan (homegrown)
    Heisey (homegrown)
    Janish (homegrown)
    Cairo (nothing)
    Nix (nothing)

    Cueto (homegrown)
    Arroyo (WMP)
    Volquez (Hamilton)
    Wood (homegrown)
    Leake (homegrown)

Really, the only players of note we gave up were Hamilton and maybe Stewart. And even Hamilton we got in the rule 5 draft.

I'm here but I'm working while I follow the game so I can't comment too much.
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Wood K's someone. Only saw the last pitch. End of 2, 0-0.

Thom made it sound like there was no talk of it and it was completely out of the blue, though. That's just not true.

Narveson sounds like a hockey player.
