Nice to see Heisey get the start.

    Hope isn't a strategy

I like this lineup. Nix has been very hot, and it sure won't hurt to give Stubbs a break in favor of Heisey.

I'm going to the game today....

Many posters complain about the need to get OF help on this team, yet our #5 OF has a .790 OPS and can play all 3 OF positions.

He might well be starting in the Cards OF right now, yet many say we need OF help, while the Cards trade of Ludwick is nothing they can't handle internally?

    I agree he's very underappreciated.

Agreed. And here's something I've been debating over in my head all season long. Who's forearms does Nix have? Popeye's or Steve Garvey's?

I'd rather listen to Kelch read the phone book than suffer through Thom Brennaman's attempt to make every instance on the field the most important event since the discovery of manned space flight. -westofyou

    Conrad 5
    Heyward 9
    Infante 4
    McCann 2
    Hinske 3
    Gonzalez 6
    Ankiel 8
    Cabrera 7
    Hanson 1

A bit of a Sunday special for the Braves, with Chipper and Glaus both off. New acquisition, and former Cardinal, Rick Ankiel in CF. Former Red Alex Gonzalez at SS.

With a win today, the Reds will be 9-1-1 in their last 11 series. Is that good?

But, but, but.... they didn't make any trades!

Reds are 73-45 when Scott Rolen is in the lineup. Just insane.

JTM should get Jay Bruce to do a "How do you do 32? commercials. He could strikeout vs a lefty with a RISP. As he walks back to the dugout he can say "That's how I 32!"
