    Well, you were close. The Reds have used 73 different lineups as of today's game. Missed it by that much.

    And concerning using a lineup based on the position a player plays...

    That lineup above would score 4.66 runs a game according to the Lineup Analysis on Baseball Musings, if used every day. That would mean 754 total runs for the season.

    The lineup you suggested in this thread would score 4.68 runs a game according to the Lineup Analysis on Baseball Musings, if used every day. That would mean 758 total.

    So your lineup vs. one that is completely random and has the pitcher leading off, would result in a whopping 4 extra runs over the course of the season.
