Kinda sad that except for Billings this is the last regular season game for all the affiliates. Have to say though, this has been the most fun I have ever had following Reds prospects in any year I have been doing this. I am already giddy for next year. A bit spoiled too.

The Cincinnati Reds have made one player/mascot transaction impacting their Double-A affiliate Carolina Mudcats prior to today's season finale against the Tennessee Smokies.

Mascot Muddy the Mudcat has been activated from the inactive list. Muddy is slated to be in uniform for this afternoon's game at 2:00 PM ET.

....sorry guys, couldn't resist, it's been that kind of year.

The Bats already have a 2-0 lead. Cozart singled, Dorn doubled him to third, and Sean Henry sent both of them home with a two-out double.

Sappelt with a HR for one of those runs.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

The MiLB standings show that Columbus has already clinched. What's up with that?

. . . Looking again, it's just that they've clinched a playoff spot, not the division. But then, so has Louisville. Also, it shows the Bats as being eliminated from the division title.

I'm supposing it's just screwed up.

Volquez has nine strikeouts in four innings for Dayton. It's 1-1. He gave up a long one.

Has to be. If the scores stand as they are now the Bats win the west and the Clippers are the wild card team.
