    Frazier 3B
    Balentien RF

Frazier at third is a bit interesting. I know Francisco isn't there.

The VSL Reds did a double-header today. Both games had 3-2 outcomes with one for both the VSL Reds and VSL Phillies. Here are the box scores.

In order to make things fair, the VSL had made him bat with his bat upside down. Blind Folded. Left Handed. LOL.

I wish we had more scouting information on the VSL and DSL guys, because they--especially the VSL Reds--have some very provocative pitching prospects, including all three who threw so well today. Gonzalez, for instance, is left-handed and only turned 17 in late March. He's fourth in the league in ERA. Chacin turned 17 in late June, and opponents are hitting .167 against him.

The DSL Reds won their fifth in a row, 7-5. They're now 10 games over .500.

They have some good talent in the DSL as well.

Between the VSL and the DSL you'll probably see:

    VSL:

    Torreyes 3B/SS/LF
    Valor SS/2B
    Y. Lopez 1B/C
    Morillo C
    Gonzalez SP
    Chachin RP
    Mieres SP

    DSL:

    Sanchez 1B
    Arias COF
    Bueno 2B/SS
    Beard SP
    Caceras SP
    De Los Santos SP
    Ramos RP

in the States next year. The Reds are LOADED in Latin talent right now.

Yeah, I heard about that. He actually managed to reach on an error, but the game summary didn't really tell the whole story. Fortunately, I have friends down there, so I'll relay what they told me.

When Torreyes stepped into the batters box, it was clear that the umpire was out to get him; he was forced to start the at-bat with an 0-2 count. Not to be intimidated, he calmly requested a time out, put on a blind fold, flipped around his bat--a toothpick mailed to him by Dusty Baker himself--switched to the other side of the batters box, and did ten head-spins as if he were about to hit a piņata.

The first pitch was a ball, but while waiting for the pitch, Torreyes managed to use his time productively by curing several types of cancer and lifting many third world nations out of poverty. It was the least he could do.

The next pitch didn't even make it to home plate on account of the ball somehow developing excessive fear. I had never heard of that, but apparently it's not uncommon for Torreyes to bring inanimate objects to life. I'll try to get more information on that at a later date.

Anyway, after the umpire gave the pitcher a new ball, Torreyes hit it so hard that it began to circle the globe. On the ball's journey, it struck a fan, killing the fan instantly. Not only did it kill the fan, it eliminated his immediate family, his extended family, and anyone who had ever met him.

But because the ball was on its way back to the field, the umpire ultimately ruled it as fan interference. This normally would result in an out, but because the ball was on fire at the time, the umpire ruled there's no way the fielder would have fielded it cleanly. Therefore, Torreyes was awarded first base. Following the game, Torreyes brought his victims back to life. Just another day at the office for Ronald Torreyes.

Wow. Coming into the game tonight Dickerson had this slash: .421/.511/.711/1.221.
First two at-bats tonight - home run and single. Yikes.

I hate to break it to you guys but just because hes hot on a rehab doesnt mean hes going to be some vastly improved player. Just because you really dislike Drew Stubbs it doesnt make Dickerson better. He's striking out a lot still, hes just getting a ton of hits.

    Hes still the same guy.

Id be pretty worried if he wasnt tearing up AAA pitching as a 28 year old with a couple seasons of MLB playing time.
