The Bats are trying for the sweep against the Clippers. They're quickly off to a 3-0 lead thanks to a leadoff double by Drew Sutton, who was sacrificed to third by Cozart. Yonder Alonso drove Sutton in on a single and then scored on a double by Todd Frazier. Frazier scored on a single by Wladimir Balentien.

The bats are ridiculous. As bad as they struggled early on, they're just a powerhouse right now. It's fun to see.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
I remember people posting stuff along the lines of "Someone is going to pay dearly when this team stops slumping" apparently they slumped so long that every single team in the international league is paying for it.Originally Posted by RedsManRick

The DSL Reds' game was suspended in the eighth inning, tied 2-2. But not before Carlos Sanchez added two hits (including a 2B) to raise his average to .365 and his OBP to .457.
And another good start for the inscrutable Eliezer Beard: 6.2 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 K. His ERA is now 1.32. He's 19, 6-foot-4, 202 pounds. And he doesn't strike out very many.
