I can't see any reason why Homer should not start on the 10th against the Cardinals. I would let him go one more inning here, at most.

I am really coming around to the idea of DL'ing Leake right now to keep his innings low and help him to get things figured out.

Then, I like the idea of bringing up Chapman in his spot and then DL'ing Springer and bringing up Burton.

I would skip the absent spot in the rotation until we had five games in five days. At this point, I would bring up Bailey and let him take over Leake's spot in the rotation and send down Smith, Bray, Chapman or Burton.

Hopefully Leake would be ready to go in September and he could take over for Wood at this point if necessary.

I really think Bailey will be solid for the Reds down the stretch if afforded the opportunity.

I agree. Demote/DL Leake and let Bailey take his spot.

    Is Homer still in?

Edit - Nevermind. Found the box online.

Ok, 7 shutout innings, 102 pitches. That should be it for Homer.

I know Triple A playoffs are like one of the least meaningful things in the world, but living in Louisville, I would really like to see the Bats do something in the playoffs for a chance and stop losing to freaking Durham. That's the way the matchups look like at this point. Of course this is a very, very small hope compared to the Reds making the playoffs.
