Good for him, should get a chance to earn a big league job now. Just wasn't going to happen here.

I liked Sutton and wish him the best.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Does he go in the Red's record books as highest single season OPS/Slugging/Avg?

Well someone had to go. I'm sort of surprised it wasn't Micah Owings though.

I am surprised that the Astro's got more out of Keppinger than the Reds got out of Sutton.

Kep has stayed healthy, which was a concern as well.

Does this mean we get nothing in return for Sutton?

The Indians should give the Reds that crappy outfielder named Choo for him.

Remember, it was Sutton's glove that sent him, not Cairo, to AAA this year. I don't feel so bad when I realize that.

Agreed. He seems like a great dude. I think he'll eventually settle in a solid big league bench player. I was in attendance last year when he hit his first major league home run. Then of course he hit a grand slam this season. I was hoping he would clear waivers but no such luck.
    I miss Adam Dunn.

i hadn't realized he was released. Good luck to him; switch hitting infielders who don't make lots of outs are always nice to have on the bench.

No big loss. He showed signs earlier this year of being of value but he kinda dropped off a cliff after that.

    Good luck to Drew.

It was simply a salary dump. The Reds didn't want to pay his post-arbitration salary, and Drew Sutton was capable of providing similar production at the league minimum.
