Sunday, August 8th, Minor League Updates

The Carolina and Lynchburg games are underway. Carolina is down 5-4 going into the 6th. James Avery started the game, but Lee Tabor is now in. Kris Negron is 3-for-3 so far, and Sappelt has two RBIs. Here's the starting lineup for that game:
    Negron SS
    Castro, Jo 3B
    Sappelt CF
    Costanzo 1B
    Henry RF
    Yarbrough LF
    Kahaulelio 2B
    McMurray C
    Avery, J P

Lynchburg scored four runs in the opening frame on a Kyle Day grand slam, and they still lead it 4-0 in the 6th. Cody Puckett has doubled and walked three times. Justin Walker struck out six over five innings, and Daniel 'No, I'm not retiring' Guerrero is in the game now. Here's the lineup:
    Greene SS
    Puckett 2B
    Phipps CF
    Richburg 1B
    Day DH
    Carlson, S 3B
    Fellhauer LF
    Coddington C
    Contreras, E RF
    Walker P

Does it look like his wrist is still bothering him?

No idea. I haven't even thought about it.

As for Dee, I saw him a few weeks ago when some Lookouts were about to hit in the cage and he looked like he was still in high school. I was baffled.

Dee Gordon of the Lookouts had his 34th error of the year. Coming into the season, he was the #46 prospect in all of baseball according to Baseball America.

Which always was laughable to me. The guy weighs in at 150 pounds and he isn't going to get any bigger. He has the frame of a 14 year old boy, but one who won't hit a growth spurt to fill out.

That's quite an absolute statement from you. Are you really saying that it is impossible for him to fill out a little?

Joe Morgan was 5-7, 160. (I actually agree with you though that being slight of frame gives a guy longer odds).
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Gil escaped the bases loaded for no damage. Bottom 9 now. 1 away. Negron up.

    Negron walked.

Lead-off error for Negron. Runner on first.
