The Reds have been chugging along at a torrid pace for two months, winning nearly every series in which they've played. And on Sunday, they'll have a chance to go for their first sweep in nearly six weeks. Cincinnati has already taken two games from Chicago, giving the Reds victories in 11 of the past 13 series they've played.
    This is cool and interesting:

The Reds and Yankees are the only big league teams with winning records in each of the season's months. MLB.com
Soto is still out of Chicago lineup:

"We were down to one catcher, Soto wasn't available," Cubs manager Lou Piniella said after the game Saturday.

Koyie Hill caught Saturday and will be behind the plate Sunday as well.

I think it's safe to say this is an extra special Sunday lineup, and one we'll probably only see once this year.

Wood is confused and thinks he is back and pitching in AAA.

Id like to see Heisey in left, and stubbs in center. I guess Dusty wants him to keep his confidence going, instead of going 0-4 with 3Ks today.

I was actually worried that we would also see Hernandez at 1st with Votto also getting a day off, especially after Dusty's warning yesterday that we would be seeing a MUCH different look.

Looks like it's "give up the game" Sunday again.

Disappointed to not see Nix in the lineup against this Diamond guy. A power arm from the right side and Nix is swinging a hot stick.

Dusty stated yesterday there are a couple guys banged up, I am assuming Phillips and maybe Rolen is still nursing his hamstring a bit. And he wants everyone fresh and ready to go for the Cards series. Can't complain about that.

It's a shame St. Louis is in a rain delay, I was looking forward to watching them for an hour before our game.
