Garcia's been pretty hittable lately, and I like the righty-loaded lineup.

Look like Dusty is finally platooning the right guys in the right situations. Although Heisey doesn't hit LH all that well. That being said, I like this line up alot.

Guess Edmonds isn't going to play every day?

It seems like Dusty has really started to shuffle the OF up lately.I really like it.Bruce,Stubbs,Heisey,Gomes,Nix and Edmonds all bring something valuable to the table and with 3 lefties and 3 righties there are some serious platoon options.I know somebodies got to go at some point but that may not come until playoff time.I'm fine with 6 until then.

It's time for the Reds to prove that Garcia is overrated.

Nix and Edmonds are a little redundant, IMO. Edmonds is the better of the two, so I think Nix should go for a BP arm.

Quoted for truth. Let's hope the guys are up to that tonight!

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Very much agree. 6 OFs is too many, especially when Nix is one of those 6.

I agree that when the time comes Nix is the odd man out but I think the Reds would rather deal with 6 OF for 3 weeks and have Nix for the last month instead of loosing him. It's more like less then 2 weeks considering the 5th man in the rotation is in AAA for the next 10 days.

So, do the Cards respond to Phillips' dead on comments in the bottom of the first?
