I'd rather listen to Kelch read the phone book than suffer through Thom Brennaman's attempt to make every instance on the field the most important event since the discovery of manned space flight. -westofyou

Once again, this game WILL be on FSOhio. It'll still be the Keelster thought. :blech:

I would have put Edmonds in there today. Just me.

Look at the career numbers and you may change your mind. Edmonds struggles v Wainwright, to say the least.

I guess it's the Cordero/ Cabrera philosophy w/ Gomes. He's been SO bad lately...he's DUE to break out.

Wainwright will make him looked like a A-baller out there today. Sad.

Wouldn't it be funny if BP, in the bottom of the 1st, shin-tapped Molina again. Yeah...

I think the funniest thing would be BP tapping the ball over the outfield wall between the foul lines.

    Comedy gold!

I agree, no way is Gomes gonna hit a Wainwright curve.

Is anyone else besides me ready for the great Gomes experiment to end??

He was exposed in the OF last night. His value is a RH pinch hitter with some pop.

Hernandez is the only one who has hit Wainwright in the limited number of at bats these guys have against him.

Johnny Gomes is OPSing 1.333 vs Wainwright.
Jim Edmonds is OPSing 0.000 vs Wainwright.

I think that is just this year.

Gomes has 5 ABs, Jimmy has 8 ABs. I'd still rather have Edmonds in there, but it is not an abomination to have Gomes start today.

Counting on some strong PBP from you guys today, since I can't watch the game. Thanks in advance.

News update from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:

They are sure mad at Cueto over there. I still don't see it....
