Sounds like LaRussa is doing some long distance politicking for a suspension for Cueto. I would really like to know what Carpenter said because that's what set off the real firestorm.

Aren't there about 30,000 people who can verify that LaRue was sitting in his team's dugout for most of the game without any noticable injuries? Wasn't he on the Kiss Cam with ToolBoy at some point? How can he be that injured if he was sitting right there the whole game?
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Did Tony just say Brandon was talking about the Cardinals like they stink? Okay Tony that's how the Cards have talked about the Reds all year

    Jonny Gomes, man of truth.

“What would have happened if he hadn’t flailed his legs?” Gomes said. “We might be looking at Cueto the one with stitches. We might looking at Cueto with a black eye or broken nose. From what was going on at time. . . he was kicking. If you don’t want to get kicked, don’t be within kicking distance.”

I'd rather listen to Kelch read the phone book than suffer through Thom Brennaman's attempt to make every instance on the field the most important event since the discovery of manned space flight. -westofyou

    Hmmm...LaRussa wants a suspension for a pitcher who's 11-3. Interesting.

OK...how great would it be for Arroyo to no-hit the Cards today?

...I know, I know. Don't flame me for hoping.

Hey...a shutout would be almost as much fun.

Nice start. I wonder how hot it is on the field today.
