Maybe they're heavier than the white uniforms? It's so hot outside that maybe they decided white was better to stay cooler. I don't know though.
That's a good, good guess. Darker colors are hotter. White would be a good bit better than red.

I'd rather listen to Kelch read the phone book than suffer through Thom Brennaman's attempt to make every instance on the field the most important event since the discovery of manned space flight. -westofyou

What's the protocol for wearing red jerseys? I thought it was just for Sunday.

Or maybe the white would show the blood better from the presumed cleat marks in the near future.

It's been all home day games for several years.

So close. I thought he had that one. Rolen drives Holliday to the wall.

Gomes grounds out to short, but a pretty solid ab there. Wainwright didn't make him look foolish at all.

And Bruce singles right up the middle.

I haven't wanted the Reds to win a game so badly in quite some time.

    From ESPN:

The standings board at Great American Ball Park refused to acknowledge the change of order on Wednesday, keeping Cincinnati listed above St. Louis. The teams were tied in the games-behind column, though St. Louis had the better winning percentage. The organist played the theme from "Rocky" when a fan threw a ceremonial pregame pitch....

Jeez, I need to pay better attention. I thought they were Sunday only.

I was suprised a couple weeks back when the Reds had the 4 pm Sat. game against the Braves and they wore red.
