It took acquiring a veteran 40 year old with a bad achiles to do it also. Really weird that Jim Edmonds some how turned this into a platoon. Its like dusty wouldnt platoon guys unless he could platoon all of them. Seriously confused with Dustys thinking some times, just so random.

Didn't Stubbs start the day game with Wainright on the mound?

As I had said earlier regarding the trade. This was a great move if the Reds were going to platoon Gomes and Edmonds in left, because they both have amazing splits vs. opposite handed pitchers. If they put Edmonds in center, then the question will be who is better Heisey or Edmonds (remember Heisey was hitting the ball pretty well before the trade)? I think it is Heisey, so right now the way the trade is being used I think it is hurting the Reds.

It appears Dusty now is going to use Nix in left a ton as a built in excuse to not play Edmonds there.

Wait, why is Dusty getting blamed for tonight's lineup?

for me its not that i think its a bad lineup, i actually like the lineup. I just dont understand why it took dusty so long to figure out that Gomes is not an everyday player.

I was just trying to suggest Dusty's not calling the shots tonight.

Hopefully it works. Bad thing is Johnson dominates righties and lefties both. Dusty does like to go to the extreme when he gets something in his head whether it makes sense or not. Would rather have either Stubbs or Heisey in center every day.

    Go Reds. Fillet those Fish!
