    Jon Jay must have a four-leaf clover taped to the barrel of his bat. Good for him. Some of his numbers are mind-numbing.

    All of these numbers were extracted from www.baseball-reference.com.

    First number that jumps out is his .413 BABIP. Yikes! One would think that would be unsustainable but he keeps on. This next stat is equally amazing. Baseball-reference has Jon Jay hitting 22 line drives this year and 21 of them have fallen for hits. His line drive percentage (17%) is below the league average (19%), but almost every single line drive that he has hit has fallen in.

    Below is a chart showing what the league average for the different batted ball types are compared to what Jay's batting average is:
