The blame was souly on us. Poor situational hitting with our inability to get a key bunt down lear to our demise today.

The Cubs tried to give it to the Redbirds at the end there. St. Louis made five outs in the ninth.
I hate the Cardinals. I hate the Cubs.
    Let's. Go. Reds.

Hey thorn... the Reds tried to give one away also but "luckily" the game didn't go any longer than it did. I don't see it as one team is better. Sometimes it seems like just plain good or bad luck that a ball bounces either right to the right person or just barely skips over his glove. A weak grounder turns into a hit or a screaming line drive is caught. We praise the pitcher who got the last screaming line drive out or condemn him for giving up the seeing eye groundball hit regardless of the quality of the pitching. The good teams show they can come up with more of the "lucky" wins while the average teams find ways to lose them. I think both the Cardinals and Reds can say they are not firmly on the "lucky" side yet.

Now, walks are mostly inexcusable. We concentrate on our own teams' inability to put their opponents away. I wonder how much all fans moan about that (except maybe the Yankees and Rays!)
