IMO, it's one of those movies that is better left untouched. The remakes are never as good, and usually are just nothing but cash grabs.

I watched a few clips of Wall Street 2 that's coming out in September, it's the same deal. Just doesn't seem to grab you at all, and I loved the original movie.

    I agree. Leave it alone.

Normally, I would agree. I hate the concept of a "remake.". Classic movies are great because of a magical chemistry that was created. You can't "remake" that.

But the Cohen Brothers never make cash grabs. If they make a movie, it's because of love and passion, not money. Not all of their movies are good, but they all are interesting.

Here's the thing for me... Can True Grit be made better? IMHO, not really. It can only be made different. Different can be good as long as it adds something to the franchise rather than tries to live off of the franchise.

I have no problem with a remake.

I can't wait to see the Coen brothers' take on this classic.

They better never touch Rooster Cogburn.

Yeah, but you're old. You forget things like prior movies and when to change your diaper.
