    I had a 1990ish baseball bloopers/amazing play VHS that had a Japanese player making a very similar catch. Thats what came to mind watching this.

    And his reaction was a bit "just another day at the park" except for a little smile afterward. And big difference in the culture, the fans were mostly sitting in their seats applauding, few were standing and cheering wildly like we would.

    Wow, what a nice catch. The Carp have one of the more rabid sets of fans in Japanese baseball, so I suspect they enjoyed that one.
