Ok. Bout to say the Mudcats "speed pitch" in right field is way off, didn't know if you were going by that or not. I haven't seen him pop 100, wish I had though

But on another note on Val, he's quite an interesting dude. It's funny/interesting to watch.

I have been completely unimpressed by his control. Some games he can not come even close to hitting the strike zone. I still remember a game the Bats lost in extras due to a walk-off wild pitch thrown by Valiquette ON AN INTENTIONAL BALL .

It is interesting, the stadium gun. I compared it often with the Reds and scouts gun while I was there. It is a lot more accurate with some guys than others. Brad Boxberger for example matched up within 1 MPH probably 80% of the time on his fastball, while Klinker and Carroll were consistently off 3-4 MPH from the stadium gun on their fastball. I wonder if it has to do with the positioning of the gun, which is located in the press box up on the 4th floor and how it picks up the ball on guys.

I am very surprised to hear that Boxberger was that close to the outfield speed gun in comparison. I've commented on several occasions that I didn't think he was even close after reading his speed on some of his pitches on the board. Interesting.

Yea it is how the gun is positioned as to why it sucks It is up top in front of the box and it just catches everything that goes by and it just is in a horrible spot to even think about being accurate.

Nice AAA debuts for both Mes and Gil
Mesoraco: 2-4; 2B & HR (walk off grandslam in the 9th)
    Gil: 1 IP; 1H & 3K (15 pitches / 11 strikes) Gets the Win.
