If our guys play .500 the rest of the way, they'll finish with 91 wins. That's the same win total as the 1990 World Championship team.
In comparison, St. Louis would have to play at a .586 clip and go 24-17 the remainder of the season in order to catch the Reds. Of course that's very obtainable by the Cards. Just thought I'd throw some numbers out there to show just how difficult gaining three or four games in the standings can be.
