As you wake up this morning, go take a look at the National League standings.
In addition to the pleasant surprise awaiting those of you who stopped watching after the 7th inning last night, there is something else that jumps right out at you.
There are exactly 4 teams in the national league on winning streaks of more than 2 games... in fact all of them have at least 4 game win streaks. Atlanta, Philadelphia, San Diego are all at 4 and the reds are at 5.
It's the dog days of August and four teams are making their move towards four playoff slots simultaneously (with the Reds having a 1 game head start).
Let's stay humble, but I sure hope this is a sign of how things end up. BTW, I really don't care who is on the dance floor with us, as long as we have a date.
