Mesoraco and Joseph are both guys who may figure into the Reds plans at some point n 2011, I'm guessing they both may be in line for the AFL.
Does this point to why he was delayed? Or why he's up now. It appears as if they've slow played him, but maybe you think there's now someone else at High A they want to send to the AFL?

    Hotchkiss? Soto?

Edit: Scratch Hotchkiss from the discussion. He was just promoted to Carolina.

Maybe Grandal ends up there in the next couple of weeks? Same path as Alonso.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

Or could be that they were planning on promoting somebody who they didn't end up promoting (Chapman?) and/or bringing on Izzy and Springer held the pipeline up.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

Could be. But I know the trade rumor was there and almost a done deal.
