I am freaking tired of Gomes.

Gomes vs. a RH in a big ball park is like doubling down on his weakness. But he is 4 for 5 against Billingsly so that is going to get him playing time no matter what based of Dustys line of thinking most of the time.

Baker is always trying to one-up LaRussa. If Tony bats Pedro Feliz in the 5-hole you just know that Dusty is going to counter with Jonny Gomes. Ridiculous.

My prediction is that Stubbs is going to lose his job again. You can't be a basestealer and have a .300 OBP and potential to break the league strikeout record. If I am right the question will be whether or not Gomes is playing bad enough for Dusty to use Edmonds or if Stubbs will split time with Edmonds in center. I think becuase the Reds are winning Dusty isn't changing the line-up.

I'm not sure if Heisey will be the initial beneficiary of a Stubbs benching with the addition of Edmonds. I am not sure what Heisey has to do to make Dusty's line-up. Having said that, Heisey will not be sent down if Cabrera gets the call. The team would lose his bat for the playoffs and the fans would be all over Dusty and the GM. That is why Heisey wasn't sent down when Edmonds came.

If Dusty decides to stick with Stubbs I think the Reds won't make it past the first round of the playoffs.

Gomes has a negative WAR per Fangraphs, meaning he has been worse than a replacement level player in 2010. Hope he gets on one of his streaks pretty soon.

Manny is done. Without the Roids, he isn't the same player.

Wow, both Stubbs and Gomes in the top of the lineup. Just terrible. Inexcusable really. I'm speechless.
