should be a interesting game to watch. lincecum has struggled lately and carpenter did't have his best outing last weekend against the cubs, great pitching matchup.

Atlanta enters the day with one more win than the Reds.
1 out top of the 1st in Chicago.
Cubs take an early 1-0 lead in the 1st.
2-0 Cubs in the 1st, Atlanta allowing the 2nd run because of questionable defense.
Cubs now up 3-0 in the 3rd inning.
4-0 in the 3rd. Hanson not sharp today.
5-0 Cubs leading after 4 innings. Both bullpens look to get some work today, Gorzelanny is already over 75 pitches.
Cubs lead 5-1 mid 6.
5-1 now in the 7th, ex Cub Farnsworth on to pitch.
5-4 now, Cubs lead, we have a ballgame

Cardinals game will be on MLB network today at 7
Thanks for mentioning that, I was assuming it was an 8:15 start, not 7:15 as it is.
Cubs head into the 8th with a 5-1 lead and just barely escape with the lead. Braves score 3 runs on 2 hits, 3 walks and one HBP. (WALKS HAUNT!). 5-4 Cubs heading into the bottom half of the inning.
The Cubs are terrible at holding onto leads lately. Or at least, it seems that way.
I hate the Cardinals. I hate the Cubs.
Let's. Go. Reds.

Baseball announcers must be an acquired taste. Almost every time I listen to another team's radio broadcast I shake my head. I think this guy on the Cubs' broadcast must be a fan who won some sort of contest and is getting to call a couple innings.
Carlos Marmol coming on and we all know what he did yesterday.
I don't like all the new ballparks that feel like they have to be quirky and have the outfield wall suddenly, and for no reason, jut out at an odd angle. Someone is going to run into the part that juts out one day and a career is going to be over. I firmly believe that. I know that was random and has nothing to do with today's game. /soapbox rant
Cubs' color man is horrible. 4-pitch walk to Lee to start the 9th.
First-pitch fly ball out after Lee walked on 4 straight pitches. Nice. Very Gomes-like.
Well Wrigley is the only stadium I know of where the warning track isn't a consistent depth. In LF the track is like a yard deeper, Braves LF made an error yesterday counting steps to the wall on the track because of this.
This is Ron Santo? Yikes.
