Mes has a "mild" hamstring strain, and is day to day right now. More will be known tomorrow.

Well Mes had a nice season. Just let him rest up, get healthy, and prep for next season. No reason to push him.

I assume he will be back if he is listed Day-to-Day...

Outside of the fact that I have tickets on the dugout for tomorrow's game and was really hoping to see him in action...

Billings won 2-0. Patrick Doyle (5 K) and Porfirio Martinez (6th save) followed Lotzkar. Donald Lutz was 3 for 4 with two doubles.

The pitching-rich DSL Reds swept a doubleheader, 2-1 and 1-0. In the 1-0 game, they were actually no-hit, scoring the only run in the seventh (last) inning on a walk, two SB and an error. Abel De Los Santos, 18 and an all-star, ran his record to 9-1: 6 IP, 3 H 0 R, 4 BB, 3 K . . . ERA 1.85.

The Reds have won seven in a row and are 18 over .500.

I haven't been this excited to watch a prospect day-to-day and check boxscores since Bruce was in the minors. Mes is quite exciting to follow.

Yessir. And the same goes for Torreyes. And Yorman. And Hamilton. And Chapman. And Carlos Sanchez (DSL Reds). And lately, for Sappelt. I feel the same way about Francisco, too. Also Alonso. And whoever is pitching for the DSL Reds.

Kind of a strannge line there for Gil.

No hits/no runs/no walks. 1/3 of an inning - the final out of the sixth. Yet he gets a blown save and the win. I see Maloney had 4 runs but only one earned. I'm guessing Gil had someone commit an error that allowed a tying run that was charged to Maloney then the bats scored a run for him in their next at bat, giving him a win?
