    From Fay this morning:

Miller says the club is also working on a deal with sixth-round pick Drew Cisco. Cisco, a high school right-hander, is the grandson of Galen Cisco.

“I’m hopeful with him,” Miller said.
This will not change until the Reds win the World Series.......

There isnt much else to go on from what I have seen on twitter.

That Cisco quote by Miller seriously is basically it.

Not that it's surprising at all, but I did see on a Texas web site that 49th rounder Tant Shepherd is returning for his senior year.

That would put it at the high end of what I guessed he would sign for (I said between $750K & $1M). Lets see how I fare on Grandal.

    Story here: http://www.postandcourier.com/news/2...co-signs-reds/

Former Wando High School pitcher Drew Cisco signed with the Cincinnati Reds today, just hours ahead of the midnight deadline drafted players had to sign with Major League Baseball teams.

    Cisco, a 6-1, 190-pound right-hander, signed for $975,000.

Like I had posted earlier. He was asking for 1.2 Mil the Reds were offering 650K. Sounds like they met in the middle and kept it under the 1 Mil mark. That being said, 3 excellent HS arms (all starters) taken 6th, 7th and 8th rounds and got them all signed. Excellent work.

Cisco is a huge signing. Now the Reds need to sign Grandal. Any word on any other Reds picks possibly signing by the deadline? Who else should the Reds try to sign?

I'm no expert but based on scouting reports, this guy doesn't get me excited, what is it about him that people really like?

I didn't say it wasn't the broad side of a barn I hit. It sounded like he wanted to sign and I like his pedigree (his grandpa). He seems like an exciting prospect.
