    Hello...from Canada!

    Hey Reds fan,

My name is Alex, I'm from Quebec (Canada) and I recently ''reborn'' my passion for the great sport of baseball. Since my username tell, I was a Montreal Expos fan. Now, since there gone in 2004, i have watch a fews games on Fox, but I was always tire, to see the Yankee play the Red Sox etc. So this year I decided to buy mlb.tv to have finally the chance to watch the 28 others teams! I got to told you, I really enjoy watching the Reds, and this is why I'm now a members of this forum.

I can't say that I am a fan, because I think it take more time, that just a few months (especially when you have lose your'e original team...!) Buy hey, I like the Reds. So I was thinking, call me crazy if you want, but since I really want to see a live MLB game, I may drive to Cincinnati this week-end! Since none of my friend are baseball maniac , It can be a long drive, but I really want to do it!

So i was wondering if you got any advice about tickets, hotel , parking etc... and of course a also (and mostly) to talks about baseball and the Reds!

    merci!

Welcome, Alex. This information may be a bit dated but it'll give you a good idea on things.

Welcome to the board! Glad to have you as a possible Reds fan (some day!).

Here's a thread that answered some of your questions from an earlier inquiry:

http://www.redszone.com/forums/showt...ghlight=hotels and it also include a link within that thread to another one from some years earlier. It's a great atmosphere at this time and even more so with the Cubs in town (promise you'll cheer for the Reds!).

My wife and I took in a game in Boston in the spring and we ran into a couple from Quebec who said they routinely come down to Boston to catch a ML game. The year I was in the seminary, we had a friar who was from Quebec who was a huge Expos fan.
Finally, it's a shame the Nationals made a complete break from their Expos past.

Oh, and you'll get to see some Canadian kid playing 1st base for us.

    Again, welcome to Redszone.

Welcome. 1st, I'm not sure if you're aware, but you'll need a passport to enter the U.S. And 2nd, at GABP, make sure to find one of the Skyline Chili restaurants, and get a couple "Cheese Coneys" It's a hot dog on a bun w/ chili sauce (no meat, beans, etc. just the sauce) and shredded cheddar cheese. They're amazing.
