Solid double to left center for Stubbs. He's really played well against the Cubbies.

I'd rather listen to Kelch read the phone book than suffer through Thom Brennaman's attempt to make every instance on the field the most important event since the discovery of manned space flight. -westofyou

Crud. Tapper to the mound from Janish to end the inning.

And I love Bruce batting higher in the order since he's calmed down (the Edmonds influence supposedly). The kid crushes the ball when he makes contact. A little less chasing out of the zone and his production could sky rocket.
In this case, playing hit-and-run in that situation, in my opinion, isn't really just playing for one run. You greatly reduce your chances of having a rally-killing double-play with a successful hit-and-run. I think you could make an argument, in that case, that you're actually playing for a chance at a bigger inning.

Not perfect on the DP by Cueto by any stretch, but hopefully he will really learn that fielding your position well can really help you out. Nice job Johnny.
