texasdave, the DSL Reds were 29-41 last year. In fact, last year every Reds farm team except the Bats (84-58) and GCL Reds (28-27) had a losing record. This year, all four of the rookie teams are in position to have winning records. Billings is five over .500 with 13 to play. The VSL Reds had a slightly winning record and the AZL Reds, who completed their regular season last night with a six-game winning streak, will (I think) at least be in a tiebreaker game for the wildcard playoff spot.

I think this season might be the most fun I've had following the Reds organization in my 35 years (born in '75, don't remember much ). Winning at the big league level with strong contributions from the young guys combined with watching the development of the next generation has been an absolute blast.

Randall Delgado is perfect against the Mudcats through five innings. The Mudcats are still only down only 1-0. Hotchkiss is holding his own.

Through 15 batters, Carolina is still looking for a baserunner. Hotchkiss has only given up two hits, but, unfortunately, a run, as well.

Into the sixth, Columbus up 5-4.

Braves go up 2-0 on Carolina.

Braves up 4-0 on Carolina and Delgado is still perfect through six.

Perfect game over. Negron pops a bunt up and beats it out.

According to the Mudcats radio the score is 4-0. I've been following Gameday and listening to the game on Mudcats radio and there has been a run difference reported for a couple innings. Apparently game day has shut down and isn't up to speed.

4-1 Braves, Denove collects an RBI. It is charged to Delgado.
