Good Pete Rose interview off of Yahoo

    http://sports.yahoo.com/video/player...Depth/21661495

I think he should get less defensive at times, but I thought the best remark he made was that alot of the HOF players have skeletons in their closets, some have been in the penitentiary, but they were all great players. And if they made mistakes in their personal lives, they paid their debt to society and moved on.

I agree with that portion of the interview.

Definitely not a choirboy, and sometimes hard to listen to because of his defensiveness.............but he was a great player and HOF worthy.

I've not always felt that way.

I agree with your analysis and I hope he gets in someday. A new commish would be a place to start.

If the hall of fame was about character, a lot of them would never have gotten in.

It should be about play on the field. He should be in with a plaque below that cites his ban due to gambling. It's just silly to do otherwise.
