I'm really glad I decided not to do this for the Bowl games, LOL :
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

Re: Weekly Big 10 Prediction Thread

Ok. We've now completed a total of 22 Bowl games, with 11 more being played from 12/29 thru 12/31. And in this last "batch" of 11 games here's how everyone finished....

    cumberlandreds, texasdave...... 2-9
    Reds Fanatic..... 3-8
    Slyder..... 4-7
BuckeyeRed27, GAC, Danny Serafini, Revering4Blue, Hoosier Red..... 5-6

The point spread really hasn't been a factor so far because a lot of the games have not been that close, or even blow outs. But the point spread in the Kansas State-Syracuse game did prove to be a factor..... BuckeyeRed27, Reds Fanatic, and Danny Serafini, all picked Syracuse; but they needed to win by 2.5 and only won by 2.

Slyder was the only one to pick Washington over Nebraska.

So, here are the updated standings heading into New Years Day....

    Code:
    GAC, Revering4Blue 11-11 .500
    Reds Fanatic 10-12 .454
    Hoosier Red 7-11 .388
    BuckeyeRed27 8-14 .363
    Slyder 7-14 .333
    Danny Serafini 7-15 .318
    cumberlandreds, texasdave 5-17 .227
    And to all...

Wasn't Syracuse getting the points and won outright?

You're absolutely right. My mistake. Syracuse was the "weaker" team and getting 2.5 pts. I'll go back and make the adjustment when I update. Good catch.

I went back, double checked, and corrected my error in tabulation when it came to the Kansas State-Syracuse game. Winners in that game were - BuckeyeRed27, Reds Fanatic, and Danny Serafini, who all picked Syracuse. The rest of us were losers.

We've played 8 more games (30 total), taking us thru last night's Sugar Bowl. Here are the results so far, and I must say, most of us are doing much better, but again, that's because the point spreads really haven't been much a factor at all, and only in a few rare instances.

Feel free to double check my results. I've been doing it till I'm crossed-eyed. LOL

    Code:
    Reds Fanatic 16-14 .533
    GAC 15-15 .500
    BuckeyeRed27 14-16 .466
    Danny Serafini 14-16
    Revering4Blue 12-18 .400
    Slyder 11-18 .379
    Hoosier Red 9-17 .346
    texasdave 10-20 .333
    cumberlandreds 7-23 .233
    5 Bowl games left.

Here are the final results gentlemen. Auburn squeaked by with that field goal, beating the point spread (2.5), but Nevada needed to win by 10 since they were giving Boston College 9.5. We all got burned on that game.

    Congratulations to Reds Fanatic.

It was a lot of fun. Looking forward to doing it again next year.

    Thanks GAC!

Just out of curiosity how did you score the Louisville vs. Southern Miss game. The line was Louisville -3 and they won by 3.
