I hope we can win today, not that we HAVE to, but it would be huge because tomorrow we have Harang going up against Jiminez. You don't want to get into a situation of starting to lose possibly 3 of 4 in the middle of this road trip. This is the last game with STL, then after this 4 at Colorado and 3 at San Diego are our ONLY games against teams with winning records.

i've got a good feeling about today. i think our 3 run first inning took all the wind out of the sails of the cards yesterday and i think it will carry over to today.. if we beat the cards today it will be time to shift our focus to Phillies, Padres and Braves and think about getting the best record.

Today is a game that all of us should be able to enjoy. The pressure is off after yesterday. The only thing any of us should be afraid of today is an injury or suspension. Nothing else can hurt us.

A win would be fantastic... but I think we can all agree that it is not critical.

As far as lesser goals, I would like to see Homer pitch into the 7th.

Anyone else have any lesser goals to add?

BTW, I have heard nothing new about Bruce.

It hit hm in the glove and he didnt have to move... I know it was hard, but I think they are gonna call that an error every time.... especially the hometown scorer with your ACE on the mound.

actually if you looked closely it never hit his glove. it bounced up and hit him in the forearm. never got to his glove.
