Cubs lead the dads 4-2 in the 6th.

Diamondbacks & Giants still tied 2-2 in the 5th.

The Cubs have done a nice little job of helping us out this year.

We might just owe them a case of beer. Not great beer, mind you. But I digress.

I've suspended my Cubs hatred until Opening Day 2011.

What if this wasn't a rhetorical question?

All models are wrong. Some of them are useful.

Ha! I've had Burger a few times, believe it or not... Not the worst beer I've ever had, by any means. But I'm no aficionado.

But it's a Cincinnati beer, and therefore much better than that Old Style stuff.

I kinda thought it was local. I've only ever seen it at Kroger locations, they tend to have a really decent selection of beers for a chain store.

I want the Pads to win so the Reds can play them. So this does not help at all...unless they get ATL

I'm kinda hoping we draw ATL in the first round.

That first two game series was weird. Then, we took 2/3 against them in the second series we played them. The Reds can handle them.

I heard Lance McAlister say in the pregame show on WLW that Jay Bruce was telling him that he wanted St Louis to lose on Monday so the Reds could get ready for the playoffs.

I bet he's changed his mind now...

Cubbies lead 5-2 through 8 innings.

Diamondbacks trail 4-2 in the 8th, but have runners at the corners with one out.

    Padres lose, Giants win.

The Giants would need to lose twice more, if the Reds won out, for Cincinnati to grab the No. 2 seed. Therefore, unless the Diamondbacks can come up with some surprise wins the next few days, the hope here is that the Padres lose once or twice the next few days then sweep the Giants.

Although Burger is one of the worst-tasting beers I've ever had, it's also my second favorite kind--cheap. Free would be my favorite, though.
