Burton gives up a BB, then gets a 5-4 GO. 8-4 Bats for a 1-0 series lead. On to the 2nd game of the doubleheader!

Ten hits. Every one of them up from the Mudcats.

Bats looked great tonight. Well, they looked good anyway.

Sappelt's swing is super quick. It has power behind it too. After seeing him hit (for the first time tonight), I'm wondering how he's been so poor before this year.

That swing is pretty, I'm telling you. He wasn't fooled at all tonight.)

Reineke pitched a very good game. He held the big bats for Durham in check. Sean Henry looks awfully impressive.

It makes me wonder how the Mudcats performed so poorly.

Did anyone hear anything about a possible return of Balentien?

    He's still young.

I'd rather have him in Cincy right now over Gomes. He can't hit worse...at least he makes contact and gets a lot of singles while playing decent defense.
