Agreed. I was at the game where the Reds clinched in '90. They lost in a rain out, but the 2nd place team (Dodgers, IIRC) lost as well. I remember I was listening to Marty and Joe during the delay and heard on the radio they clinched and started spreading the word around my section.
Fun thing was when the game was finally called the players came out and played "slip 'n' slide" on the tarp.
