initials and year of birth
I'm pretty sure mine doesn't require any explanation.
My username is in honor of the original Red Stockings of 1869. They aren't the direct ancestors of the Reds, but they are the spiritual founders of pro baseball in Cincinnati and the Reds franchise has always claimed them. It's a great cornerstone for Reds baseball and as they say we need our myths.
Whenever I join a message board I usually try to think of a double entendre for a handle. My coach once called me a screwball in high school (I deserved it, ), so that was the first decent one that came to mind.

Mine was the best thing I could come up with at the time.
All models are wrong. Some of them are useful.
I'm west of you (in location)....most of you anyway especially when I started posting 14 years ago with a lot of these guys
And with a infield base-hit up the middle in his first Reds plate appearance, I'm in!Originally Posted by Me

Mine was self-explanatory when I joined the board. Now that I live in Tennessee, not so much.
Reading comprehension is not just an ability, it's a choice
I used this name when I first signed up for a message board - it was a University of Kentucky board and people in college had called me Flounder due to a little resemblance to the Animal House character. Flounder was taken so I added UK to it.
When I joined this site, I was NKYRedsFan, but then I noticed there was a KYRedsFan, so, to get rid of the similarity, I created a new account and just used this name since I couldn't think of anything better
Tasty beer with the name 'Red' in it.

Seg used to call Dion Sanders "Reverend Doo-rag" and I thought it was funny at the time.
Mine's a rejected band name. I've never been in a band.
There is no such thing as a pitching prospect.
This one goes back a long time. When I signed up for AOL Instant Messenger 13 years ago or so, I needed to come up with a name. At the time I was really into riding my BMX bike on dirt jumps and trails. My name is Doug. Of course, someone already had 'dougdirt' so I added 24 at the end for my favorite player ever, Ken Griffey Jr. But whenever it is available, I just stick with dougdirt.
Our small farm--Foxfire Farm. and the 123 since just "Foxfire" was taken.
