Depends on the health of Nix and Edmonds. If neither can go, I bet he makes the playoff roster.

When Volquez first came back, he didn't look this smooth. That time in Dayton must have been beneficial.

Dickerson at the plate. Hitting .217. Yikes.

I guess they have no confidence in him defensively. I knew he wasn't very good, but I guess they think he's really bad.

Glad to hear that and not a re-injury to his side.

Edinson throws 95 mph to the plate, 25 mph to first base

He should start ahead of Stubbs. Oh. Never mind.

That's a terrible rule, if so. Injuries happen, they can't be predicted. Not that I'm surprised, considering who The Commissioner is.

I don't think it has anything to do with Yonder's defensive skills. Cairo hasn't had a lot of ABs lately and need to keep him fresh should he need to play or pinch hit in October. Yonder will get his playing time when the Reds clinch...

Doesn't it seem noteworthy that he hurt his leg while jogging around the bases on a HR? Is it unfair of me to think that he is fragile when that happens?

I was fragile at 40 and more fragile now. I just hope his recovery time is quick. We need his bat.

This is a much fairer rule than there used to be. If you had someone injured during the post-season, tough luck all the way through. Remember when Vince Coleman hurt himself on a field tarp at the start of a playoff game?
