I just saw this advertised on Sports Time Ohio and thought it was a awesome idea for generating money in the winter. I hope sometime the Reds copy this idea Check it out!

It'd be cool if GABP didn't look so cheap, was located at The Banks, and gave you views of the city.

I goofed up. I did mean Broadway Commons.
I don't find GABP special at all. It's a decent ballpark. It's a nice place to watch a game. But, I don't think there's much of a wow factor. I believe it could've been made better.
And, I still believe it looks cheap. Very cheap actually. I just can't stand the white poles they used. Or the stupid smoke stacks. Comparing GABP to Busch, PNC, Camden Yards, etc. it just doesn't stand up to them on appearance. They look sharp and classy while GABP doesn't. I know my view on the park isn't popular, but I stand by it. It's just an average stadium.

The problem is once you go to other ballparks you realize how skimpy GABP is in comparison.
I like GABP honestly. Just don't think it's anywhere close to as good as PNC, Safeco, or Camden.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.
I agree with this. It's a nice park, but nothing special at all. They had an opportunity, but had the likes of John Allen in charge at the time.
If people want to see what "could" have been done, they need to get to the new Target Field in Minneapolis. That place is special.
And it can't face downtown only if you take the location as a given. That's the problem I had. It should have gone somewhere else.

I never understood this sentiment. I have only visited the GABP twice, but I was thoroughly impressed each time. It's a gorgeous ballpark with a beautiful view of the river. Have you ever been to the new Busch stadium? Beautiful view cars whizzing down a decrepit portion of I-70.

I have only been there once but I thought the GABP was a good place to watch a game. It may not have all the fancy accouterments that are associated with some of the newer ball parks such as Safeco in Seattle, but at least in comparison to Safeco, I thought the GABP's sitelines were far superior.
School's out. What did you expect?
GABP can't face the city.
I don't think ballparks are allowed to face the western horizon, or something along those lines.....
I want this at GABP. Maybe it would make me despise winter a little less.
Benzinger backing and calling! And the 1990 world championship series belongs to the Cincinnati Reds!
The most direct view of the city would have required it to face to the northwest, and that probably wouldn't be acceptable. The field in Houston comes close, though...

Help stamp out, eliminate, and do away with redundancy.
I didn't fully appreciate GABP until I caught a night game at Turner. Turner Field is a nice facility, but a horrible place to watch a ballgame. It has bad sight lines with lights that are too low so you lose the ball in the lights.
If you go to GABP to watch a ballgame, it provides a near-perfect experience and I've yet to find a bad seat.
