Yes, it's by Tygial and he's an exceptional historian, and delves deeper into the society aspect of that story than others do. He also wrote “Past Time: Baseball as History” which is a very good book as well.Originally Posted by redsfan_12

I read it earlier this year, I think. Very good read. I believe Tygial passed away recently.
