    RedLeader's Dirt Dogs

    C: Mike Piazza
    1B: Ryan Klesko
    2B: Jeff Kent
    SS: Jimmy Rollins
    3B: Eric Hinske
    LF: Chipper Jones
    CF: Vernon Wells
    RF: Gary Sheffield
    OF: Matt Lawton
    OF: Danny Bautista
    IF: Aramis Ramirez
    UTIL: Frank Thomas
    UTIL: Travis Hafner
    UTIL: Joe Thurston

    SP: Curt Schilling
    SP: Jason Schmidt
    SP: John Lackey
    SP: John Patterson
    RP: Keith Foulke
    RP: Mike Williams
    RP: Jorge Julio
    RP: Alan Embree
    P: Brandon Duckworth
    P: Adam Eaton
    P: Arthur Rhodes

Think my offense can hang with most. Hoping Schilling and Schmidt can carry my pitching. Foulke, Williams, Julio, and Embree should keep me in the hunt for saves. Lackey, Eaton and Patterson need to be strong and Duckworth needs to improve. 10 wins out of Rhodes this season would be nice but not banking on it. He's there to offset Duckworth's ERA and WHiP.

So far, I've traded Adrian Beltre, Rich Aurillia, and Kevin Millar to MWM Domination for Aramis Ramirez, Jimmy Rollins, and Robert Fick.

I then turned around and traded Fick to mexico city mudrats for Danny Bautista.

I think I have okay hitting, but my pitching is going to have trouble standing up. No front line starters, lots of guys that had good years last year, but you know some of them will be one year wonders.

    Moves I've made so far:

Picked up Frank Catalanatto off of waivers to play second

Traded Rafael Palmeiro for Robb Nen

I need to get rid of two position players and replace them with 1 SP and 1 RP. I just haven't decided who to get rid of.

I like my team overall. Undoubtedly, my biggesst weakness is the outfield. Burrell is a 40+ homer guy, but the rest of them have questions. I think Payton can put up numbers similar to what Jeffery Hammonds did when he was in Coors. Salmon and Jordan are pretty solid, and Jordan showed up to Dodgers camp in good shape and sounded like he was ready to play. Like I said when I drafted him, Jenkins is my pick for NL Comeback Player of the Year. I really like Phelps, and if you project his numbers from his 265 at-bats with the Jays last year, he's a 30+ homer, 120 RBI guy. My pitching is this team's biggest strength. I like that because you can never have enough pitching. Plus I have some depth that I can use to make some deals to improve my offense. All around I think this is a very good team.

Redsfaithful, I think I'm going to stand pat through the first month of the season to see how these guys shake out. Then, if necessary, I'll see what kinds of deals I can work out.

For the most part, I'm satisfied with my team. Though I'm sure some tweaking is going to be required.

Hey, LF. Unfortunately, I only have 1 1B that qualified for the position last year. After 20 games Hafner will qualify, and Thomas should also qualify when he gets 20 (he's supposed to play more 1B this year). Even Jeff Kent might qualify if something happens to Bagwell. When those guys do qualify, I will be looking to upgrade my SP's and I see that you have some good depth there....Buehrle, Miller, Clement. I like Miller the most, and then Clement. Let me know if you'd be interested in something down the line....
