"No matter how good you are, you're going to lose one-third of your games. No matter how bad you are you're going to win one-third of your games. It's the other third that makes the difference." ~Tommy Lasorda
You didn't wait until there were lineups! outs because he didn't get to start the game thread:

I'd rather listen to Kelch read the phone book than suffer through Thom Brennaman's attempt to make every instance on the field the most important event since the discovery of manned space flight. -westofyou

The Reds have actually had a decent amount of success against Halladay.

It's Dusty's MO and at this point, I accept (and even appreciate) it. He defers to the vets....I think that is why BP is leading off instead of Stubbs, Gomes is in front of Bruce, and Ramon starts ahead of Hanigan. I'm cool with it.
I'd say that lineup would match up exactly with the "typical" lineup that was run out there most often. In a situation where many of these guys have never faced, with higher expectation and pressure, it probably helps to keep guys in their "typical" spot so as to not have them feel like they need to do something different than they've done all year.
There's a good chance I won't be in here later tonight, as I'm planning to watch with my dad and the rest of my family.
But I wanted to get at least one post in Redszone's first ever playoff game thread. Shock the world, Redlegs!
Maybe I missed it somewhere, but does someone have the umpiring crew for this series?
Nevermind...found it:
This will be John Hirschbeck's eighth Division Series, and first since 2006. His crew will handle the Reds-Phillies series, which starts Wednesday in Philadelphia. He's joined by Bruce Dreckman, Sam Holbrook, Ed Rapuano, regular-season crew chief Gary Cederstrom and Rob Drake. Drake is making his postseason debut.- MLB story
